Sara Withers is the Sussex Jewellery School's tutor for wirework and also teaches students to make their own vibrant polymer clay beads

Sara Withers has been designing and making jewellery for many years.  Her work concentrates on the use of beads – either self-made;  commissioned from glassworkers or sourced from interesting suppliers.

Sara has taken part in exhibitions in many different places and her work is sold in a selection of shops and galleries throughout Britain.  Sara's work is well-known:  she has sold her work at prestigious events such as Art in Action; the Country Living Show and British Crafts.

Sara is the author of several popular books of bead jewellery projects.  The most recent is The Encyclopedia of Wire Jewellery Techniques, available from www.Amazon.co.uk.

Sara teaches bead-making and jewellery making in several arts centres in the UK - as well as the Sussex Jewellery School, she also teaches at West Dean College, Zantium,  Farncombe Estate and the Oxford Summer School.

In 2007, Sara was one of the speakers at the International Bead and Beadwork Conference in Istanbul.
